Special Projects Intern - Spring 2019 (Early January - May)
The National Network for Safe Communities (NNSC) at John Jay College seeks a part-time or full-time student intern to support its Special Projects team. NNSC supports cities to implement and advance proven strategies that reduce violence and improve public safety, minimize arrest and incarceration, strengthen communities, and improve relationships between law enforcement and communities.
The Special Projects team plans, coordinates, and executes NNSC events including but not limited to workshops, conferences, receptions, and collaborative learning opportunities such as peer exchanges and working sessions.
Our team seeks an intern who has experience in event planning, project management, and or coordinating with multiple parties in a fast-paced environment. The Special Projects intern will be assigned other responsibilities based on their specific skills.

The NNSC seeks to support interns seeking college credit for their internship hours. To qualify for college credit, students are responsible for obtaining advance approval from their institution for using their internship for college credit while at the NNSC. Please obtain this approval before your interview and be prepared to provide proof of eligibility.
